A query regarding Ingres. Site wants to use Microsoft query to retrieve data from Ingres database. How do we do it? Ingres II 2.5/0011 target DBMS server on NT/WIN2000 SP6a & SP2. All clients on Intel The basic steps are: 1. Install Ingres NET on client 2. Setup ODBC DSN on client PC for the Ingres database 3. Link MS-Access tables to the just defined Ingres ODBC data source. Alternatively MS Query can be accessed through MS Excel using “Data -> Get External Data -> New Database Query” and choosing the just defined Ingres data source.
