How Can Michael Bennet Gain Credibility When He Is The Newest And Youngest Senator?
Michael Bennet can gain credibility as a senator easily by doing a variety of things. Some may include: – Fighting Corruption – Avoiding Corruption – Making legitimate amends to laws – Making changes and policies that appeal to the people The list goes on and on. All he has to do is do what society needs, and it will gain him credibility as a result.
All Senators, new or old serve on committees. It’s true the Senate is structured so that the most senior members usually do end up with the choicest of the committee assignments, but junior senators and endangered incumbents (of which Bennet might be both) are usually given at least one or two choice assignments to establish themselves in. It looks like Harry Reid and the Democrats decided to put Michael Bennet on the Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee and the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, so look for Bennet to try to make his mark there for the state of Colorado. Just as a side note, if Norm Coleman ever stops appealing all the court cases he’s lost, Al Franken will end up stealing the rank of most junior senator away from Michael Bennet.
