How can Meru control clients if it doesn use proprietary client-side hardware and software?
The combination of Virtual Port, per-user firewall and application-aware quality-of-service give the Meru network granular control over each client’s network link, regardless of what hardware, software of version of the 802.11 specifications the client has installed. Virtual Port controls how much bandwidth a client has available. Per-user firewall controls the resources the client can access. Application-aware quality-of-service controls the priority given to each application from the client.
