How can local musicians and filmmakers benefit from the Film Music seminars?
I think the musicians definitely want to be there because they want to know what kind of rights they have. And musicians want to be there because they want to be able to get their music into films. David [Polemi of Moviemaker Music] is going to talk about being a music supervisor and putting music into films, legal aspects and contractual things that he does as well. The musicians can find out about fees and royalties so that they can make sure that they’re getting the money that’s coming to them.
