How can larger systems, that are located in several MTAs, work with HFS to coordinate the ILHIE work?
The primary purpose of these planning grants is to promote collaboration within the respective MTAs, where the residents of those areas seek and receive most of their healthcare services. Hence, the role of larger systems represented in multiple MTAs will be critical within the MTAs in this initial phase of planning and between MTAs as ILHIE applications mature. These larger systems may well be significantly more advanced in HIT and can provide leadership to other stakeholders in this initial planning project.
