During the transition period to 31 October 2011, only the relevant NABERS Energy rating is required to be disclosed. Building Energy Efficiency Certificates, which will include the tenancy lighting assessment, are not required to be disclosed until 1 November 2011. The Australian Government Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency expects training for the tenancy lighting assessment rules to be available to existing NABERS accredited assessors in the first half of 2011 and Commercial Building Disclosure (CBD) accreditation to be available soon after.
