How can induction of Research Staff to departments/faculties be improved?
For some faculties there is no induction scheme in place. However, The Learning Institute is developing a range of programmes for leaders and managers within the University and improving induction is a significant component of these. The CRSWG has developed mentoring guidelines for those who supervise research staff, and these include reference to the tasks that need undertaking early in someone’s contract.
