I can’t remember what they’re called (I think it’s SHOE TREES) but you can get them in plastic or wood; it has a solid toe that you push into the toe of the shoe and a bit of metal that bends with a ball on the end to put in the heel. This stretches the shoe outwards and upwards. I use them because I have very wide feet; shoes being tight are nothing to do with the wrong size, you may just have wide feet like me.

when I have had school or work shoes to wear in I wear them in the house with socks that are a little thicker than I would normally like to wear them to streatch them a bit that way if they hurt Im only on carpet and can take them off before my feet are cut to ribbons

I had the same problem with my flats. What I did was fold up a wad of newspaper and stick it into the shoes, leave them for a couple of hours and the next time I wore them, they were a lot looser and comfier!
