Charlie Gitto’s is an amazing Italian restaurant. My husband and I make a point to eat here whenever we are in St. Louis. It was within walking distance of the old baseball stadium, so if we went to a game, we would eat here before or after the game. All the food is amazing, but I love the pasta with cream sauce is perfect. The sauce isn’t too heavy or too light. I sometimes hesitate to order a cream sauce because you never know what you’re going to get, but this is perfectly done. I’ve also had great seafood here. The shrimp is especially good, but I really liked the calamari too. The gelato is also wonderful. Well, really everything is good. I’ve only been the the location on Shaw, but there is another location outside of the city. I’m sure it’s good too.
