You can volunteer by contacting the VEGA (Volunteers Enrichnig Government Action) coordinator at the Los Altos City Hall (650) 947-2700. Volunteers at the Police Department must first undergo a background check, since they may have access to privileged information. At a minimum, applicants will be screened by having their fingerprints checked for any possible criminal history. Click here for more information.
