Although our current printing options don’t allow color prints at a reasonable cost, color maps are being considered for future printings. • Why are the county maps updated so often? There are 6,000 to 9,000 changes to the digital maps each year. Consequently, to keep the most current maps available to our customers, we update the online tif images on a daily basis. You can always check the date on the lower left corner of a county maintenance map for the latest revision date. • Does the Product Development section handle requests for specialized (or thematic) maps? With appropriate management approval, we do create maps for other state agencies. We also have an extensive map collection available for purchase.
