How can I use the Wildlife Lists tool to quickly locate species to add to my list?
While on the ‘Add species’ tab, there are several ways to locate species to add to your list: Method A: using the text ‘search’ box This method works best if you know part or all of the scientific, common, or family name of the species. 1. From the show menu, select the group you are adding from, or select all groups. 2. From the search field, enter part or all of the scientific, common, or family name. 3. Select ‘GO’. Note: anytime you want to ‘clear’ a search, select clear selection, which is displayed next to the search criteria text. Method B: using the a-z index This method works best if you want to add a group of species that all begin with the same letter. 1. From the show menu, select the group you are adding from, or select all groups. 2. From the sort by menu, select scientific, common, or family name. 3. Select a letter.
