The Pattern analysis is an organized summary of the phonetic data you recorded on the Phonetic Transcription Screen. The Compton PESL online program does this for you. Some teachers find it helpful to look at the Pattern Analysis side by side with the Transcription display screen as they perform the final step to preparing their client’s personal speech analysis. To view both screens just right click on the Pattern Analysis link at the top of the page and open it in a new window. Now reposition the screens by clicking and dragging to resize, as necessary, so you can view both screens at the same time.
