How can I use “Summary Statistics” in combination with the query frame to the left to compare voyages with different characteristics?
The default for “Search the Database” is the complete database. Thus, when no criteria of selection are specified in the query frame, the summary statistics describe the entirety of the slave trade. While in summary statistics, however, you can select voyages in the query frame at the left to see how they compare with the general average in the entire data set.
