How can I use my Mac or PC as a display for MacroModel?

This can be done through an X emulator. Once installed on a machine that is networked, you can log in to an SGI or IBM workstation which has MacroModel loaded and run the program on the SGI or IBM but display the output to your Mac or PC (instead of to the SGI or IBM workstation display). This would allow you, for instance, to log in to a workstation in another building, but display the program to your PC. Thus you wouldn’t have to leave your office to run the program. Note that it does require that you have network access to an SGI or IBM workstation and that MacroModel be loaded on the workstation. Note that the X-emulation does not support all the rendering options available in the GL version. Q3.
