Firstly you need to change a setting in your iTunes preferences to allow you to convert iTunes music files to mp3 file format. On the top menu bar, select Preferences from the Edit menu. Select the Advanced tab, then select the Importing tab. Find the Import using option & change the setting to MP3 Encoder. Once this setting is changed, you will be able to right click on any music file in iTunes, & select the option convert selection to MP3.
