You can use Mendeley Desktop with recent versions of Fedora (and related Linux distributions) if you remove some of the libraries that we bundle with Mendeley and use those provided by Fedora’s repositories instead. • Install Qt from the standard Fedora repositories (if you have any KDE applications, you probably already have this). Mendeley Desktop requires Qt 4.6 or later. • Download the ‘generic Linux’ version of Mendeley Desktop from the download page. • Extract the tarball to a directory on your system using tar -xf . This will create a folder named mendeleydesktop-&ltVersion>-linux-&ltArch>.
