MBSA uses your Internet Explorer settings to perform the download. Use the Internet Options settings page of Internet Explorer to configure these settings. To configure proxy settings in Internet Explorer • In Internet Explorer, click Tools and then click Internet Options. • Click Connections, and then click LAN Settings. • Do one of the following: If your network is configured to support auto detection of proxy servers, select Automatically detect settings. Or If your network is not configured to support auto detection of proxy servers, select Use a proxy server for your LAN, and then type the name or IP address of the proxy server in the Address box. If the proxy server uses a nonstandard port, type the port number in the Port box.
