JTPW personality assessment can be very helpful in succession planning. The following activities may help a succession candidate to engage in a new role faster and establish effective relationship with to-be subordinates, peers, and managers. • Analyse successor candidate’s natural strengths and weaknesses in light of the new role, by completing JTPW personality assessment of the successor candidate, and reviewing his or her JTPW Career Development report. • Analyse the to-be subordinates (direct reports) of the successor candidate, i.e. obtain and review personality profiles of the to-be direct reports. • Based on the results of the previous two steps, elaborate practical guidelines for the successor, for leveraging successor’s natural personality strengths and managing natural weaknesses, and for establishing effective work relationship with the to-be subordinates.
