How can I upgrade the Powerlink in Blackboard Vista / CE?
Currently, the only way to upgrade the Powerlink is to uninstall / remove completely the old Powerlink and to follow the installation instructions for the new Powerlink. However, doing this will remove access to any of the Turnitin Assignments created with the previous version of the Powerlink. We are investigating a way to be able to upgrade the Powerlink without losing access to the previous Turnitin Assignments, but at this point it is not possible. Below are the instructions to uninstall / remove completely the old Powerlink • Delete the Turnitin Assignment proxy tool • Remove the TurnitinAuthenticationModule.jar file as well as the authmoduledata jar file, and the TurnitinAuthenticationModule directory from the WebCT server • Restart the WebCT server (complete stop and start of all services) • Login to confirm that the Turnitin Assignment proxy tool and TurnitinAuthenticationModule deployable component no longer shows up in the system admin area • Follow the normal installation pr
