For most users, the easiest way to upgrade is to simply download and install the latest version from the InStep website. Before installing, IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO BACKUP YOUR DATA FILE. If you connect to different data files, you should also make a copy of ISPersonal Finance.mde so you can transfer your subscription after upgrading. If you install the upgrade to the same folder as your original version, you will receive a message that the folder already exists. Select Yes to install to that folder anyway. You may also receive a message that your data file already exists. Select No to not overwrite your data file. When you first start Personal Finance after upgrading, the software will try to connect to your existing data file. If you are not automatically connected to the data file you want, use the setup tool to Change Data Files.
