How can i turn a simple electric motor into a generator?
The simplest electric motor has a rotor with windings and a stationary permanent magnet. Power goes to the rotor through brushes and a commutator. If you simply connect the motor to a load instead of a power supply and turn the rotor, the motor will supply power to the load. Most other types of motors can be operated as generators under certain conditions using the proper control systems.
