How can I transfer piano sheet music to Clarinet sheet music?
Well, you’d have to find the main themes in each of the pieces (sometimes, this is very easy), and then transcribe them for clarinet. Doing this takes a lot of work, though, because you have to transpose as well as analyze the music to find what you want to play on the clarinet. The main difference is that the piano is a polyphonic (many notes at a time) versus a monophonic (one note at a time) instrument. You will not be able to transfer the harmonies to the clarinet, because it cannot play more than one note at a time. What you do is this: take the music you want to play as it is written for the piano. Find the line with the melody in it, and then rewrite that melody one whole-step higher, making adjustments for the range of the clarinet (sometimes piano melodies go lower than the clarinet can). Also, be mindful of the highest range you are comfortable playing and do not exceed it.
