You need to consult with a professional on this, but honestly, I think the best thing is to put her to sleep. This is NOT a normal pit bull trait regardless of history. There are plenty of dogs who come out of fighting rings and go straight into homes with small children. Steady no matter what. Any other examples of the breed should be euthanized so they don’t reflect poorly on the typical examples of the breed out there. A gushing affection for ALL humans is the standard. They don’t make good guard dogs for this reason. They have never met a stranger. I know that you love her, but I think it’s best to be with her as she is euthanized. It is safest for everyone. You don’t want her or your grandmother to be another statistic.
