How can I test the temperature accuracy of my Eppendorf thermomixer?
The device can only be tested with calibrated temperature sensors with low heat dissipation. Such a testing and calibration system is at the disposal of the service departments of our marketing partners. In order to recalibrate, the sensor is placed in a bore of the exchangeable thermoblock and sends its signal to the thermomixer electronics via the RS 232 interface. The calibration can then be carried out within the framework of the service program. Significant deviations can be anticipated when measuring with simple testing devices, especially when the insulation and the cable used (diameter, length) cause heat dissipation. Our testing devices are manufactured according to the PTB (physical-technical federal institute) standard, which is in turn traceable to NIST. In case the customer wants to perform the calibration by himself, please contact the Application-Hotline (support@eppendorf.com) and we will sent you a validation procedure.
