If you are running LapCop on Jaguar or Panther: Go to your System Preferences, click the Network preferences and change a setting (e.g. the number you are using to dial in). A few minutes later, you should be receiving an alert email. Just switching to another location setting will not trigger LapCop to send an alert message, otherwise, you would receive a lot of useless alert e-mails. If you are running LapCop on Tiger, you can use the LapCop System Preference pane to have LapCop send a test e-mail.
