How Can I Tell If My Xbox Power Supply Works?
The Xbox, Microsoft’s first foray into console gaming, was a huge success. Much of that was attributed to the quality of many Xbox exclusive games, including Halo, Halo 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Ninja Gaiden. To play these games, you’ll need a working power supply. Check your console’s manufacture date, which is on the bottom of the system. If it’s before October 23, 2003, you’ll need a new power cord; your current one may be a fire hazard. Check the Resources section for information on how to contact Microsoft for a replacement. Check the status of your power supply. If the plug or cord has been damaged, do not use it. Plug the power cord into the console. The part that goes into the Xbox is a pentagonal plug that goes into a port on the left side of the back of the console. Plug the power cord into an electrical socket.
