How can i tell if my finch is pregnant?
Birds don’t carry their offspring in a womb like mammals do. They lay eggs. There really isn’t a practical way to tell if she’s going to lay eggs or not until it happens. And the eggs won’t be fertilized unless she’s in a cage with a male and has bred with him. If you have a male and a female in the same cage I suggest you get a nest box in case she does lay eggs, especially if they’re fertile and going to hatch. In which case you’re opening a whole other can of worms and will need to furnish the nest with some sort of nesting supplies, buy supplements for her when she’s feeding the babies, etc.
