How can I tell if a site uses a secure server and if a company is real?
In the address (or URL) field, the “http” will change to “https” – the “s” stands for secure. In addition, there will be either a closed padlock or a complete key on the top and bottom of your browser window. The padlock or key will also be highlighted. If the page is not secure, the key will be broken in half and the padlock will be open. If you order online from Magic Matt’s Brilliant Blinky’s – you will notice these items when it comes time to input your credit card information. Never order online from a site that is not secure and don’t send your credit card info over the e-mail.
