How can I teach Newtons Laws of Motion and make it an interesting lesson?
The important thing to remember is that every type of motion follows all three laws, so think of different things that move and incorporate them in your lesson. When I teach it, I do the tablecloth where you jerk the tablecloth from a bunch of dishes. I also strap on some roller blades and go through different scenarios. You could also have students design a superhero that could defy 1 of Newton’s laws and make a cartoon about him/her. Or you could dress up as a superhero and then ask kids what you could do if you could violate the 1st law or 2nd law and so forth. And anything else can get thrown in there, have kids spin around a baseball bat and try to run, throw cake at someone, water balloon fight, play a baseball game, use a remote control car….
