How can I teach my dog to play with toys?
There are hollow toys that you can put treats into like some dry dog food or dog chocolates or even peanut butter, something she likes but never give your dog chocolate meant for humans as that is poisonous to dogs. If you can get one of these toys and find something she really likes to put into it you may have a start. Let her smell it while you hold it, let her know it contains something for her to eat then when she seems interested throw it for her, try and encourage her to bring it back to you so you can throw it again, if she does bring it back say “drop it” getting her to drop it when she has it may be another problem so have some food in your hand to offer her in exchange for the toy but give the command to drop it while offering what you have so she learns what the command means and incorporates it with putting the toy down.
