How can I sync to my ilo mp3 player?

Windows Media Player encountered a problem when trying to sync songs to my ilo mp3 player. My sister sent me the player with no info on how to use it. I plug it into my computer and it reads READY but when I click on sync in media player I get an error saying it can’not sync at this time to try later. I have also tried to SHUFFLE the songs from my list into the player and that doesn’t work either. This is all new to me as I am a 64 year old trying something foreign to me. PLEASE HELP!
