How can I switch a release between collaborative and insulated purposes?
The development project purposes for a release (Collaborative Development and Insulated Development) can be changed after the release is established and in use. Check the list of folders in a working project’s Reconfigure Properties to determine whether the reconfigure is set up for Collaborative Development or Insulated Development. A project set up for Collaborative Development will have a reconfigure folder with a name similar to “All completed tasks for Release N.N”; a project set up for Insulated Development will not. For prep projects, there is no impact from changing the project purpose, as these purposes apply to developer’s working projects only. To change the project purposes for the release, do the following: 1. Become build_mgr using the classic GUI 2. Project view > Admin > Browse releases 3. In the Browse Releases popup, select the desired release 4. Select Edit… 5. In the Edit Release popup, set the desired Valid Purposes for Release:, then select OK to dismiss the pop
