How can I suppress the annoying window that asks login and password in a simple peer to peer Windows 98 networks?
Ronald Scheepstra (ronald.scheepstra@fevd.nl), January 1999. Delete the *.pwl file in your windows directory. Edit the system.ini delete the section where the *.pwl files are listed setup the system that there is only one profile. Login again but leave the password empty. Windows will not ask for the password the next time. Another option is to download the powertoys from Microsoft and use the TweakUi. I have just installed Windows 98 on a new computer. I cannot find anymore the fax utilities included in Windows 95. You can find the Windows 95 fax program on your Windows 98 CD-ROM under TOOLS\OLDWIN95\MESSAGE\US\AWFAX.EXE. (Not tested).
