Some consider it a dilemma but it shouldn’t be.Answer: Providing our children the opportunity to explore their interests is something we as parents should be open to. Young kids are like sponges; they soak up everything they observe from their surroundings and the people around them. They often mimic or imitate what they see and develop interests similar to those of their parents or primary caregivers. As children grow, they start to develop other interests and explore new experiences; some of which may be different from those of their parents. An example of this was when my daughter expressed her desire to learn how to play the guitar despite the fact that she grew up seeing me play the piano.
