How can I submit my site to the Inktomi database?
If other websites have linked to your website, then the Inktomi spider (Slurp) will eventually find your site and add it to the Inktomi database. If you are in a hurry, you can pay Inktomi to add your site. There are many services which sell Inktomi listings. For an annual fee, each url you submit will be immediately added into Inktomi’s database. You can find a list of Inktomi resellers here. If you are interested, Inktomi also offers a service known as Index Connect in which you can submit every single page of your site to the database through an XML feed. If you participate in the program, you are allowed to submit custom title tags, keywords, and descriptions directly to Inktomi. You can change your listings at any time, which will enable you to tweak the listings over time so that they will climb higher in the search results.
