How can I straighten toddlers curly, thick hair without using a perm?

I would not recommend straightening a toddler’s hair, or using any kind of chemical or excessive heat. This may cause allergic reactions, which can lead to serious infections, chemical/heat burns, and serious injury. If you haven’t already (and the baby is a boy) try cutting your child’s hair. A lot of children lose curls when they get their first hair cut. Other than holding it back with a ponytail holder or ribbon (if a girl) there is really not much you should be doing.
