How can I stop visitors “hogging” or “personalising” lockers?

A. If you use a Metra exit device such as a turnstile it will stop the visitor leaving if they have left their locker locked. If you don’t want to use a turnstile you could consider charging a deposit and then using the coin return machine coupled to a wristband “eater” to collect the wristband and give the deposit back. If they have left their locker locked the wristband eater will not accept the wristband. We have used this at a very busy leisure centre with excellent results.
