How Can I Stop My Two Male Rabbits From Pulling Their Fur Out From Their Feet?
are they missing fur on the bottom of their feet? are you 100% sure they are pulling their fur out? If it is on the bottom of their feet it is most likely sore hocks. This is caused when the rabbits are on a wire bottom of a cage or they have been sitting on wet wood (that’s how mine got it). The skin will feel callus ang their will be no fur on the area (it comes out it is not pulled out by the rabbit). This is a very common condition and I was told to put Preparation H on the exposed skin when my rabbit had it.If you are sure your rabbit is pulling it out and it is on the top of the foot you should look for a lump on his foot. The only time one of my rabbits did this he had absesses on his feet Absesses look like lumps and are filled with puss. This requires a visit to a vet. If he is scratching the fur and pulling it out but there are no bumps it might be mites, fleas or another parasite. Here is a website i found that has lots of information on different mites and parsites
