How can I stop my concrete bird bath getting a red “fungus” type staining in the water bowl?
If the staining is in fact a fungus, add a fungicide to the water. Follow the instructions for the use of the product to the letter. If, on the other hand, its caused by a chemical or metal (iron most frequently) Water the feeder using distilled water and add nitrogen. Talk to a nursery about this before you take any other action.
