How can I start growing Muscadine vines?
one thing you need to know is that muscadine vines are female or self fertile.A self fertile vine will pollinate itself and female vines also.Female vines will not produce without a pollinator near by.In the wild muscadine vines are male and female.The male vine blooms and pollinates females but produces no fruit.Plant breeders developed self fertile vines so space wouldn’t be wasted on vines that don’t produce.I hope this helps you.Grapeman in N.Ga.
