Typically, to earn a spot on a party line, you would need to circulate petitions and get a minimum of 5% of those total number of voters in that particular town/legislative district. So, in the mythical town of Oshgosh-begosh, if there were 1,000 enrolled members of the Lickety-Split party, you would need a minimum of 50 signatures of enrolled party members to get on the party line. If, however, someone from the same party also files enough signatures, this will force a Primary, in which only enrolled voters of that particular party are permitted to vote.
