How can I specify which preclinical campus (East Lansing or Grand Rapids) I want to attend?
With the exception of Early Decision Program (EDP) and Early Assurance Program (EAP) accepted applicants, students do not select their preclinical campus. Accepted students will have the opportunity to indicate a preferred preclinical campus. Details about the assignment process for the class entering in 2010 will be posted when finalized.
The Office of Admissions makes all preclinical campus placement decisions. All accepted students are required to submit a form indicating their preferred preclinical campus. They may also enter a rationale or comments to support or explain their preference, indicate no preference, or apply for special consideration for placement based on their individual documented specific need. Preference forms and special consideration applications are typically sent out in February. Initial placements are made in late March. A second round of placement assignments begins after May 15th. Once placed, a students either accepts their placement or requests a spot on the waiting list for reassignment.
