how can i skip the 8th grade

First you discuss with your parents how easy the 7th grade is for you.  Then you and your parents go to your homeroom teacher and your counselor and tell them about your concerns.

They will either offer you gifted and talented advanced classes or they will discuss the possibility of putting you in some beginner college courses or skipping a grade.

But you have to follow the procedures.  If your grades are great maybe your parents can get you tested for IQ and maybe you are really smart enough to skip a grade.

Keep in mind, though, that school is a progression.  If this year is easy but you get moved up to 9th grade next year it is possible that you won’t know what you need to in order to do well.  Missing an entire grade of school means you miss everything they may be teaching new that year that will prepare you for the next year.

For example, you learned to write cursive in maybe 3rd grade.  If you skipped 3rd grade you would not have learned to write in cursive.  I, myself, moved right around division in 4th grade and never completely was taught the concept until I was in 10th grade when I was finally able to convince a teacher that I did not learn it.  I was a very smart student too, and managed to figure out how to use multiplication in order to divide.  Otherwise I’d have truly been stuck for all those years from 4th through 10th grade.

However, if you are truly a genius then the psychologists, your parents, and your teachers already know this and you need to mention that you are interested in this for your own future academically.
