How can I set the administrator directory to use an SSL server (https)?
Use Joomla version 1.5 A standard Joomla! 1.0.x installation does not support SSL for individual directories, however there are various (elegant and not so elegant) hacks posted in the forums. Note that earlier techniques involving the variable $mosConfig_live_site are depreciated, and will not work with current Joomla! versions due to increased security enhancements.
