You can send money via your bank, but it can be costly. Even if you use your banks online banking service, it too can be costly. I would go with Western Union or another world wide company like that. If you do use your bank, you will usually need what is called a SWIFT code. Sometimes these codes are also known as SWIFT-BIC, BIC or SWIFT ID codes. It is a Bank Identifier Code. All banks have them. Yes, you’ll need an account number too. Depending on the bank you wish to send money to, some require a form of BSB (branch), but most will use the SWIFT code instead.
