How can I send mail attachments using UNIX mailers?
Different mailers do it different ways. In the UNIX mailer pine, just enter the name of a file in the “Attachmnt” field when composing or responding to a message. If you use mush or mail, you have to use the “mailto” program; type mailto [address], enter a subject and message as usual, and then type ~* and follow the instructions. In the UNIX mailer mutt, you can type a in the sending screen (after you’ve finished editing the message) to bring up a prompt to enter a filename (hit tab to bring up a file browser).
