How can I send files through the network to/from my comptuer?

This question depends on how your computer is connected to the network. If you are on Biology E-talk (Mac) or Bio-Sci (PC), you can send your files directly to your computer if you know the login and password for it. Otherwise, you can leave your files in the MOSS shared folder and then pick them up from your computer (ask us for the login and password if you don’t know it). If you aren’t on the network (e.g. at home) you can use an FTP program or a web browser to access files in MOSS Shared folder. The host is moss.biology.ualberta.ca and the login and password are the same as above (ask us if you don’t know). The MOSS Shared folder is found in mossditrl.
