Once the rectangle is drawn on the map, it is not possible to know how big the file will be when it is generated. However, to avoid unnecessary transfers, follow this process: * Click “No” when the program asks you whether you wish to synchronise the map onto your PDA. * The file is saved on your PC in the location you specified in the window “Save as”. * You can then check the size of the file before it is transferred (by doing a right-button click on the file name and choosing “Properties”). * To transfer the file onto the Palm: move the file into the Palm installation tool window, or synchronise it through an external expansion card drive by placing it in the folder “MapViewer_Maps” (see the user manual for further details). * To transfer the file onto the Pocket PC: move the file into the folder “MapViewer_Maps” (see the user manual for further details) through the “Mobile” access on your PC workstation.
