By default Internet Explorer will replace the actual error messages coming from the server with a “friendly” error message, which hides the actual error contents. To disable this feature in IE and see the real error message coming from the server: • Go to Tools, Internet Options, and choose the Advanced tab. • Clear the Show friendly HTTP error messages checkbox and click OK. • Close the browser, open it again, and re-request the page.
